Terms of Service
Last updated 30 August 2026
These terms are a contract between you and Quotes4You (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the Quotes4You application at quotes4you.co.uk and any successor domain (the “Service”). By creating an account or subscribing you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are entitled to bind that business.
1. What the Service is
Quotes4You lets tradespeople price jobs, produce quotation documents, share them with their customers for online acceptance, and raise invoices from accepted quotes. Suggested labour rates, VAT treatments and similar figures are provided as starting points only — you are responsible for the prices, VAT treatment and terms on every document you send. Quotes4You is a tool, not an accountant, and nothing in the Service is tax, legal or financial advice.
2. Your account
You sign in with your email address or Google account. Keep access to that mailbox secure — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You are responsible for activity under your account. One account serves one business; each business’s data is isolated from every other.
3. Trial, subscriptions and payment
New accounts get a 14-day free trial with no card required. After the trial, sending quotes requires a paid subscription (monthly or annual, priced as shown at checkout). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, which you can do at any time from Billing — cancellation stops future charges and your plan runs to the end of the paid period. If a renewal payment fails we keep your account working while Stripe retries it. Statutory consumer cancellation rights are unaffected.
4. Your data and your customers' data
Everything you enter — quotes, prices, customers, templates — remains yours. Where you store your customers’ personal data in the Service, you are the data controller and we process it only to run the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. If your trial or subscription ends, your data is retained so you can return; you may ask us to export or delete it at any time.
5. Quotes, acceptance and invoices
Quote links are private, unguessable URLs — share them only with the customer they are for. When a customer accepts a quote, we record the name they give, the time, and technical details of the request as an audit trail. Whether that acceptance forms a binding contract between you and your customer depends on your own terms and the law that applies to the work; the record is evidence, not a guarantee. Invoice figures are frozen at the moment of issue.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use the Service to send misleading or fraudulent documents, to spam, to probe or disrupt the Service or other tenants’ data, or to break the law. We may suspend accounts that do, after warning where reasonable.
7. Availability and liability
We aim for the Service to be fast and dependable, but it is provided “as is” and we don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business or data arising from use of the Service. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Changes and ending the agreement
We may improve or change the Service, and may update these terms; if a change materially reduces what you pay for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel. You can close your account at any time. We may end the agreement with 30 days’ notice, or immediately for serious breach.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
